Mrs. Cécile GREENBERG-ALWAY
Wife of Patrick Alway and cofounder with him of a company which makes plastic computer diskettes. Cécile, who is 47, is energetic, sporty, and in good physical shape. Intelligent and talented, she has succeeded, along with her husband, in building up a business that makes profits that are astronomical. She admits that before the departure of her husband she had told him that she wanted to buy out his shares and have entire control of the company. This transaction was intended to complete the divorce proceedings already underway. She has a lover, but their relationship is discreet, as he is a married man with three children.

However, dissimulated beneath a clean-cut, although hardened face, this businesswoman is a rapacious, money-grabbing person of the worst sort. She is a hyena disguised as a baby seal that one pities on its icy butcher-block. As soon as the sun goes down, she is waiting to devour you, leaving aside, perhaps, your brains for the birds of prey. And this seems to be exactly what this nice lady has done with her husband.

Mr. Patrick ALWAY
Because he has disappeared, he will not appear in the film except in the photos intended to help in the search for him. His psychological profile pointed towards a nervous breakdown, and his doctor has advised him to take a long trip overseas. As he is a sporty type, the supposed attack by gangsters or hoodlums is an unlikely story, especially since he has obtained an advanced level of self-defence. He also has a secret mistress. He is the only other shareholder, with his wife, of the business that has become international.

Mr. Jean LATOUR
He is the lover of Cécile Greenberg-Alway, and a maintenance employee in the factory. He has been promoted to Director of Maintenance as a result of his love affair with his boss. He is really a good guy, only gullible. His recent contact with money has made him lose sight of reality. His naiveté removes any doubt of his being a murder suspect. Perhaps for these very reasons, he has been carefully chosen by his new mistress, who knows how to manipulate him. But can he go as far as murder? This is what we want to find out.

Mr. Dave SAVARI
This young detective from Quebec, 26 years old, will be assigned to file the report of the missing person, although he has his doubts. From the very beginning of his inquest, he senses the manipulatory powers of the plaintiff, Mrs. Cécile Greenberg-Alway. He can’t keep from recalling to mind the perfect order and sequence of events from all angles of his inquiry. He feels uneasy about the state of the garage at the residence, as even the tools are too orderly. It seems unlikely that a manufacturer of such inventive skill would keep a workshop so clean.

Dave must become familiar with new methods of investigations and research using high technology, as he will be assigned a foreign partner from the private sector of insurances. He will provide her with useful information. He will also fall in love with this young, female inspector.

Ms. Véronica ROSHEM
The private eye of the insurance company, Véronica, who is young, beautiful, 29 years old and a sexually attractive tom-boy, takes her work very seriously. As the company is German, Véronica is a German and from the East. She had lived under the old Soviet regime. Her frame of mind is one of war, and she attacks investigations as through she were dealing with crimes against humanity. By her determination to find and capture the real villain, she becomes the symbol of the justice system and justice issues. Through her we will get to know criminals and their odious acts. Also, through her, the spectator will experience injustice. That is why her cultural difference is necessary in order to bring out the fact that the guilty parties who go free in ours, would have indeed undergone execution in other countries, due to procedures of justice different from ours.
