Founded in 1980, LES PRODUCTIONS DE FILM DIONYSOS inc. is dedicated to films about authors.

Its first documentary was the most widely televised documentary in French Canada between 1980 and 1985. Le Pardon (1992) " best audience " on TQS network, has won several Canadian and international prizes. In 1997, a first international co-production with Euromedia (France) followed. For " drama ", all its short subjects have received international awards.

Scriptwriter and Director Denis Boivin (Danse des enfants 1999, Le Pèlerin, 1997, Mère, 1995, Le Pardon, 1992) adds his stamp to a film which emphasizes and defines his style.

Script Consultant Jean-Claude Carrière (Le Hussard sur le Toit, 1995, Chinese Box, 1997, Cyrano de Bergerac, 1990) willingly gives his support as screenwriter consultant.

Director of Photography Alain Dupras, a long-time comrade, recently won un Gémeau 2000 following 2 nominations for 2 different series. In France, the co-producer is also at the top of the prize winners.

Other : The Wendats-Hurons, Native People of the film, are involved actively in the creation, assuring authenticity of the recreation.
